Ariana Chotkowski is a New York-based Licensed Mental Health Counselor who obtained her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Hofstra University and Master’s degree from Adelphi University. 

 

Ariana specializes in working with individuals who are navigating complex interpersonal relationships and those navigating their trauma journey. With an emphasis on the intersection of self-perception and external relationships, she provides clinical support for those managing anxiety, depression, and existential uncertainty. Grounded in the belief that our connections with others are the mirror through which we understand ourselves, Ariana helps clients transform these experiences into a path toward clarity and self-discovery.

 

Ariana uses a person-centered approach along with psycho education to build rapport, explore and understand what a client is going through, normalize experiences and minimize mental health stigma. Ariana is an integrative therapist who uses a variety of evidence-based modalities and techniques in her practice including Psychodynamic Therapy, Trauma-Informed treatment, Mindfulness practices, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Treatment (DBT) and elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). 

 

Counselor Ariana Chotkowski creates a safe and empowering environment from the perspective that no two clients or experiences are the same. Her work focuses on guiding individuals as they heal from past experiences and cultivate the tools necessary for building healthy, sustainable relationships. She is committed to helping her clients master the vital skills needed for emotional regulation, bolster self-confidence, and strengthen their sense of identity.
