Jessica Zur-Linden, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker – NY
Therapist Jessica Zur-Linden is a New York-based Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of experience working with clients as a psychotherapist. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, and has practiced in a variety of clinical and leadership positions throughout her career. Her background includes extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, the LGBTQIA+ community, and folks diagnosed with chronic health conditions. Jessica has also worked with clients experiencing significant life transitions, grief/loss, and career stress, especially people in the arts. She is also formally trained and experienced in utilizing evidence-based trauma therapy.
Jessica is a therapist grounded in the social work principles of authenticity, non-judgement, competence, and advocacy. She works from a clinical, person-centered, and values-based approach. Jessica believes in a modern kind of therapy: one in which she and her clients can laugh together, collaborate, and fit the setting to meet clients’ needs. Her style is conversational, while also being trauma-informed. You can expect her to bring her genuine self to every session, while always maintaining the boundaries and structure required for good, safe therapy.
Jessica works to create an intentional, non-judgmental space where she and her clients can identify their strengths and build on them to sort through overwhelming thoughts. She believes that each person is the expert on their own life, such that everyone’s journey in therapy is unique to them. Jessica’s ultimate goal is to combine practical skill-building with processing big emotions to help her clients create more joy in their lives. She works to help her clients walk away from even their first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful.
