Dr. Spencer-Lovejoy is a postdoctoral psychology resident with more than 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. She completed a Master of Arts Degree in Theology and Ministry and her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary. She also previously obtained a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY College at Old Westbury.

Dr. Spencer has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds with various presenting problems. Her expertise is working with individuals who are struggling with life transitions and periods of change. She also has extensive experience providing therapy to individuals experiencing issues related to identity development, interpersonal conflicts, sexuality, relationship status, religious or spiritual beliefs, anxiety, depression, racial or ethnic identity concerns, low self-esteem, and stress. Psychologist Andrene Spencer-Lovejoy primarily operates from a cognitive-behavioral approach. She also takes into consideration the relational dynamics between the therapist and client, as well as the clients’ relationships in and outside of therapy. She works collaboratively with clients to set goals and, if desired, integrate clients’ spiritual beliefs into their treatment.
