Victoria Shapiro, MHC-LP
Mental Health Counselor – NY

I support professionals, individuals, and couples navigating repetitive relational patterns, miscommunication, or a lack of connection, whether that shows up in work stress, romantic relationships, or daily life. Many people I work with are ready to reflect, learn, and foster healthier ways of relating in work, love, and life. In therapy with me, you’ll find a grounded, collaborative space where we slow down to understand what’s getting in the way and build practical, personalized ways forward.
I use a blend of evidence‑informed methods tailored to your needs. With couples, I draw on the Gottman Method and attachment‑focused work to support better communication, trust, and conflict resolution. With individuals, I integrate CBT, ACT, relational approaches, strengths‑based work, and meaning‑focused methods to help with anxiety, stress, burnout, life transitions, relationship concerns, self‑esteem, and insomnia. My experience has taught me that change really takes hold when we connect insight with action and build skills that fit your real‑life goals.
As a first‑generation immigrant, I know how meaningful and courageous taking that first step into therapy can be. I value warmth, respect, and partnership in the therapeutic relationship, and I’m committed to creating a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported. If you’re ready to explore growth, deepen your relationships, and feel more confident in yourself, let’s begin the journey together.
