Katalin Vinczi-Sierra is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NJ and FL. She is also a registered Integrative Child Psychotherapist in the UK.  She specializes in individual therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. Katalin has experience in treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, and stress related symptoms. Katalin also supports parents/caregivers in furthering their child’s progress in therapy by focusing on strengthening the parent-child relationship. She can equip children/teens with practical skills and strategies for managing behavioral challenges and a variety of emotional issues. 

Katalin’s approach is integrative, combining different types of modalities based on client’s individual needs, such as psychodynamic approaches, DBT informed approaches and trauma informed approaches. Katalin is skilled in helping clients address the root causes of their symptoms, so that healing is meaningful and lasting. Katalin believes that everyone’s culture should be celebrated and empowered. She offers a warm, accepting space where clients can explore their experiences and gain a deeper understanding of how past experiences might contribute to current behavioral and emotional patterns. Katalin is skilled in motivating clients to change unhelpful behaviors, highlighting each client’s individual strengths during the process of change. By virtue of her integrative training, she sometimes uses the arts and play as a medium to communicate and engage with her clients.

Katalin has over 15 years of experience working within the child protection and child mental health arena. She worked in various London boroughs and within the UK’s National Health service, supporting children who suffered abuse and neglect, mental health conditions, or who experienced trauma in different ways. Since 2020, she has been working as a clinician in a private setting, supporting adults, children, and families.
