Palak is a Licensed Social Worker in New York and New Jersey. She received her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. She has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including private practice, partial hospitalization, inpatient, residential and outpatient support groups. Palak works with adolescents, adults and couples. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, body image, trauma, women’s issues, life transitions, relationship issues, intimacy, OCD, specific phobias and trichotillomania/skin picking.
Palak aims to create a warm and supportive environment with her clients. She meets clients where they are and empowers them to be in charge of their own treatment. Palak utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities in her work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in combination with a relational approach.
